How do I care for my jewelry?

What metals do you use?

The short answer is that I work with solid precious metals, primarily sterling silver (925) and 18 karat gold.

Sterling silver is the standard silver alloy that is used for jewelry. “925” refers to the chemical makeup of the alloy which is of 92,5% silver and 7,5% copper.

18 karat gold is an alloy of 75% gold and other metals depending on the color of the gold. In Sweden, the standard gold has a slightly warmer hue than gold from other parts of the world because the alloy contains more copper. This is the gold that I use most often and I love its warm tone!

18 karat white gold is an alloy of 75% gold and 25% white metals, including palladium and silver.

All of the metals I use are nickel-free!
